FPAWS monthly caregiver online training. Watch each month as we line up trainers on everything foster care and parenting. We partner with some of your favorite trainers to bring you trainings that mean so much to people that have children in their lives. All our trainings count as licensing hours. You will receive a certificate to share with your licensor.
Alliance Cares Training – official training for DCYF is coordinated through here.
The Alliance for Child Welfare Excellence provides in-person and online training hours for foster parents and kinship carers, offering tons of courses that can be taken at your convenience and at your own pace. Topics are wide-ranging and appropriate for all levels of experience.
Coordinated Care – training sessions run by community educators from Apple Health. Besides the scheduled events, groups and organizations can request a session on any of the covered topics, or training in Youth Mental Health First Aid from certified instructors.
Focus on Foster Families is a toolkit of videos and resources designed to support foster youth and their caregivers improve their skills related to communication, emotional regulation, problem solving, and goal setting.
Foster Care Institute (Dr John DeGarmo) offers a newsletter and subscription access to online training and live webinars
Foster Parent College: mostly paid online training on a broad variety of topics
Mental Health America: runs an ongoing series of live webinars on a range of topics, some are also made available to watch as recordings. Certificates of attendance are available for live events.
