Your contribution to FPAWS supports caregiving families through our many programs. We attend several DCYF and AOC committees and the Supreme Court Commission on Youth in Foster Care. We are also members of the Child Welfare Advocacy Coalition, National Foster Parent Association, and the NFPA Council of State Affiliates. If they are talking about caregiving, we want to be there!
We are "Families Helping Families".
Caregiver Training Program supports and educates foster, kinship, and adoptive families. Classes qualify for licensing training hours as required by foster parent licensing. Expanding parenting classes for community parents to provide basic parenting classes.
Caregivers mentoring Birth Parents. Caregivers supporting Caregivers through support groups and chat spaces. Building a parenting community. Mentor newly licensed foster parents through their first year.
Provide services for supervised, monitored, and sibling visitation. Services provided by experienced caregivers. Services available to children in foster care or court-mandated supervised visits.
Foster Care System Navigation. Legislative Advisory Committees. Workgroups to improve the system.
We are all foster, adoptive, kinship, and relative families just like you and we are FPAWS. Remember that those who support caregivers can become a Friend of FPAWS.

CAREGIVER SUPPORT – FPAWS Support Hotline
FPAWS Helpline 1-800-391-CARE (2273) for all caregivers. Answered by a veteran caregiver with comprehensive resources, referral, and information. Parent Mentoring Program offers support and teamwork to both foster and birth families.
