Education Resource Wednesday returns next week from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, over Zoom! September’s session is “Education Resources and Programs for Student Success.” As we start the school year, educational barriers and questions may arise for families and students that require additional supports for their education success. Please join Anna McGree (Treehouse Education Advocate) and Yordanos Gebreamlak (Deputy Director of The Washington State Governor’s Office of the Education Ombuds) as they cover education resources and programming supports that are available throughout all of Washington state. We will have a 60-minute presentation to talk about the specifics of each agency and what education resources are available. We will cover quick examples of cases that come into OEO and Treehouse. Afterward, there will be a 30-minute question and answer. Registration is required through the Alliance Course Catalog. If you have not previously created a free account with the Alliance, you will need to do so. If you need assistance registering, contact AllianceSupport@uw.edu Education Resource Wednesdays are a collaboration between Treehouse, DCYF, Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, and Alliance CaRES. |
