CDC guidance on covid and pregnancy

CDC writes, “Based on what we know at this time, pregnant people might be at an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19 compared to non-pregnant people. Additionally, there may be an increased risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes, such as preterm birth, among pregnant people with COVID-19.”

We know that Child Welfare agencies work with a significant number of pregnant individuals, including families, youth in foster care and young adults formerly in foster care, as well as members of the child welfare workforce, itself. We urge you to review the updated information and take action to educate pregnant women and those who live with them to ensure their safety.
