DCYF is surveying foster parents

DCYF is surveying foster parents

An announcement from DCYF

Every year, the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) contracts the Washington State Survey Office to survey foster parents and kinship caregivers about their satisfaction with the support and training provided by the agency.

This notice is to inform you that beginning April 9, the survey team began emailing survey links to foster parents and kinship caregivers who were randomly chosen to participate. Starting April 20, caregivers may receive a phone call from the survey team. Your honest feedback will help us make improvements or changes to policies that could be implemented in the future. Some of the things you may be asked include:e

– Treatment by staff.

– Caseworker involvement.

– Agency’s responsiveness.

– Adequate information about the needs of children.

– Inclusiveness.

– Reimbursements.

– Training.
