Early Childhood Education and Assistance – free preschool slots for foster kids

All foster kids in WA are eligible for enrolment in the ECEAP preschool program around the state. Children must be 3 or 4 years old on August 31.

  • Part Day classes are 2 ½ or more hours, several days a week, during the school year.
  • Full School Day classes are 5.5-6.5 hours per day, 4 or 5 days a week, during the school year.
  • Extended Day is available at least 10 hours a day, year round, combining child care and ECEAP. Parents must meet work or training requirements

Programs begin enrolling students in August for the year starting in September, but many locations may still have spaces available. Some locations will begin the 2020-2021 school year remotely, some may offer in-person attendance. Call the locations near you to learn about their spaces and plans.
