You are invited to join the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families as we recognize fathers who have had a successful outcome with their child welfare cases. One father will receive the Engaging Father Award and an all-expense paid trip to Great Wolf Lodge Water Park to celebrate with his child(ren).

DCYF received dozens of nominations of fathers across the state who have demonstrated positive behavioral changes to reunify with their children. We want to thank all the fathers who are doing this work every single day!

This award is part of DCYF’s Engaging Fathers project (previously called Fathers Matter), an engagement effort for legal fathers with children in the child welfare system. When fathers are involved in their children’s lives, especially their education, children learn more, perform better in school, and exhibit healthier behavior.
