Lawyers for foster kids: soon to be federally required?

WA only just passed legislation that will phase in the right to an attorney for all foster kids in the state, applicable at different stages of dependency depending on age.

There may soon be an updated federal law that applies to all children involved in court proceedings due to neglect or abuse, which would expand that requirement even further.
