For Goodness Cakes, a nonprofit that provides cakes to disadvantaged kids through agencies is launching their first WA chapter in Gig Harbor/Tacoma – currently still at the stage of fundraising, recruiting volunteers, and recruiting partner agencies to refer children. If you know people who would like to bake cakes, or your agency/DCYF office would like to sign up as referral sources, now is the time.

Cake 4 Kids Western Washington has volunteers in Kitsap and Jefferson Counties
Celebrate You Foundation provides Birthday Bundles to foster children out of Tacoma and Puyallup – and in non-Covid times, a whole birthday party package!
Mo’s Place and TSP Bakeshop form the Cake Coalition Program in West Richland, supporting foster families in the Tri-Cities, Walla Walla and the surrounding area
Grace and Cakes has volunteer bakers across much of Eastern Washington
All programs require requests ahead of time, and depending on need they can’t always guarantee a cake will be provided.
