DCYF Foster Parents, Kinship Caregivers, and Tribal Partners,
We are excited to announce that the Washington Caregiver Application Portal (WA CAP) is live for caregivers licensed through CPAs on today, Sept. 12.
Additionally, WA CAP users must now log in to the portal using Secure Access Washington (SAW). This includes caregivers or applicants that have already signed into WA CAP.
Why do users have to sign up for SAW?
- Data security regulations require all Washington state agencies to use Secure Access Washington (SAW).
What should existing users do to prepare?
- If you have an existing SAW account, use your existing credentials to log-in. If you do not have a SAW account you will need to click on Sign Up to create an account.
- Read through and bookmark the following training:
If you have questions, please reach out to: dcyf.caregiverportal@dcyf.wa.
Note: You will need a passcode to add the new service to your SAW account. For state-licensed foster parents, your 1624 rep should have the code (and may have shared it in your regional 1624 facebook group). For agency-licensed foster parents, you will need to get the code from your agency.
