Eileen and Callie’s Place has been providing support and faith-based mentorship to girls aging out of foster care for several years, and this will be the second year they run the Celebrate 18! event, building on last year’s successful coming-of-age celebration (as reported in the Federal Way Mirror). If you know a girl who has experienced foster care and is turning 18 in 2020, pass on an invitation!
Before then, you can join them at their 5th annual benefit breakfast to fundraise and hear from some of the girls they’ve worked with, or otherwise get involved by signing up to sponsor the event, contribute a donation or volunteering as a mentor to personally help a girl navigate early adulthood.
