Skookum kids are doing 72 hours of fundraising to support kids first 72 hours in care

From June 14 – 16, Skookum is hosting an online fundraising event benefiting foster kids who stay at our emergency shelters.

DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT: When you donate, every dollar will be matched up to $12,000.

Why 72 hours?

Approximately 200 children every year spend their first few days in foster care with us, and those first few days can be incredibly scary and confusing. Skookum provides a soft landing for children when they enter foster care, in their emergency houses in Bellingham and Ellensburg.

These houses address “The 72 Hour Problem” by providing a place for children to stabilize and buying time for social workers; all with the help of an amazing volunteer team!

Your participation in The 72 Hour Fundraiser provides vital support, such as food, clothing, and keeping the lights on—which helps solve The 72 Hour Problem.

On Facebook? You can RSVP to the event so you’re reminded when it starts!
