Senate Passes Bill to Prevent Child Sex Trafficking, to the President
(From an email to Ret. Justice Bobbe Bridge)
Justice Bridge,
Last night, the Senate passed H.R. 4980, the Preventing Sex Trafficking and Strengthening Families Act. The bill now goes to the President for his signature. The press release is here and a summary of major provisions in the bill is here.
Many thanks again for your participation in our hearing, your involvement in the press conference announcing the bill, and for your ongoing work to help children in need. I know Chairman Reichert is extremely pleased that he was able to work with you on this issue, and he’s proud that it’s now going to be signed into law.
Have a great weekend!
