WARE is building profiles of potential adoptive families for waiting youth to choose from

WARE is the Washington Adoption Resource Exchange, aimed at recruiting licensed/home study complete adoptive homes. They are currently running a reverse matching work group and hope to have the first event in the spring. Youth 12-17 will have an opportunity to view family profiles to pick families they feel will be a good match for them instead of the traditional route of families picking youth profiles.

If you or someone you know is interested in signing up for WARE, there is a simple web signup at (new URL, 8/22) www.nwae.org If you know of a youth or a family who would be interested in participating in our upcoming reverse matching event, they can reach out to Heidi Pless (DCYF).
