The National Foster Care Youth & Alumni Policy Council invites you to a webinar to discuss our 20th priority: Decriminalize Being in Foster Care.

In this webinar, you will hear from lived experience leaders on how decriminalizing the response to foster care involves reevaluating and reforming the way systems interact with families and children in need of support. The primary goal should be to prioritize the well-being of children while minimizing punitive measures for children.

The National Foster Care Youth & Alumni Policy Council , a partnership project administered by Foster Care Alumni of America and FosterClub with support from Casey Family Programs, agrees to provide federal stakeholders with relevant and timely information as policies and procedures are created that will affect children and families throughout the country. The Council represents a collective viewpoint of youth and alumni who have experienced the child welfare system first-hand.
