Thursday, October 22, 2020
12:00 pm – 1:30 pm EDT

Join us for a webinar that will feature information that child welfare professionals need in their work with families where parental substance abuse is the intersecting factor related to child abuse or neglect.  The content will include an extensive discussion of the causes and the brain science of substance abuse disorders, as well as an understanding of family dynamics and techniques for supporting positive parenting behavior.

The presenters include Judith Grisel, PhD, author of the best-selling book, “Never Enough” and a Professor at Bucknell University who will outline what she has learned through her groundbreaking research on the nature of addictive diseases, and Paul DiLorenzo, ACSW, MLSP, who has trained a national cohort of child welfare professionals on the topic of parental substance abuse and child maltreatment.
